Offline Data Holdings
Digital data
- Data from the GOES satellites.
- Solar irradiance, flare, and EUV emission datasets.
- Sunspot Group Reports from Greenwich, Rome and the USA.
- Daily Sunspot Summaries from Greenwich.
Non-digital data
- Ionospheric data
- Vertical soundings - hourly values and monthly median values of
scaled parameters, ionograms on film, some f (frequency) plots - for
about 300 stations worldwide.
- Absorption - measured by riometer, pulse echo and field strength
methods.
- Reports and Forecasts of Solar-Geophysical conditions
- "Solar-Geophysical Data", detailed reports published by WDC-A,
Boulder with a data delay of 2 to 5 months.
- Monthly reports of solar-geophysical conditions from the USSR, West
Germany and Australia.
Users can request copies of off-line data to be sent by FTP, post or e-mail as
appropriate, or they are welcome to visit the WDC in order to browse through
the archives. Data from other WDCs can be ordered via the WDC at RAL. Other
data products can be generated on request using database tools. Please
contact the WDC for further details.
